I found this cute wooden sleigh in the thrift store and in great condition!

I wanted it to be more festive so I pulled a few ideas together.

First I cleaned it with Krud cutter, then lightly sanded and wiped it down. Sanding helps the paint grip better.

I chose this lush green from behr paint company and got the flat finish.

I used my stencil from last year. As you can see, it’s seen better days, but still does the job!

Since the sleigh is longer than the stencil, I just chose where to apply certain areas of the stencil. I used a white paint for this.

Next, I took two scented pine cones and hot glued ribbon to them.

Add a little glue, then tie the ribbon onto the pine cones.

After these dried I tied them to the sleigh.

I took some jute rope that I found at the dollar tree and looped it through the holes.

im so happy how this turned out! Now it’s all ready for Christmas! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this finds you inspired.

You did a great job. I believe the green helped the stencils to show up better. Thanks so much for sharing 👍️
