I made this new little mirror for my little one's room. It was fun and oh so easy to make! The awesome thing is that I had all of the supplies I needed on hand around the house and so the project cost me next to nothing!
This is the mirror I used, you can use any sized mirror! As long as it is round, yo will be able to accomplish the sunburst effect.
I used these Styrofoam pieces as a barrier at the back of the mirror to keep it from rubbing up against the wall.
I used a hot glue gun to put the whole thing together!
I had 2 different kinds of ice candlesticks on hand.
Before gluing, place all of the stick around the mirror so you can space them properly according to the number of sticks you have.
Once you have them properly spaced, glue them down with a hot glue gun. Then, attach the foam pieces as a barrier.
And this is what my mirror looks like when it is hung up!
Here's a close up of it, I love it! It came out great. Give it a try yourself!
Enjoyed the project?

Pretty !!!Nice job and good Idea . How about spray painting some some cording or rope maybe some chair cording the same color and glue it around the mirror edge.I think the cording of the same color would look nice to if you want to hide the edge.

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
Cool project, showed it to my kid. But her question was mom what's in the mirror on the wardrobe?
I really like this...a lot!!! I’m looking for something to try my hand at some DIY proje and I think this would be a great place to start. I have ONE question please....how exactly did you use the foam on the back of the mirror? I’m a little confused about that.
How cute is that but aren't you the least bit concerned that the mirror might fall and shatter in her room?....I would be afraid that with just a ribbon holding it up that it might just accidentally fall off the wall at some point ....not trying to be rude here just expressing a safety hazzard .....but I do like the mirror a lot ...
