Drop Cloth Pumpkins

Fall is close at hand and with that our thoughts turn to pumpkins. You can find them made out of all sorts of mediums - old shirts, velvet, sweaters, vintage handkerchiefs and so on. Each one cuter than the first one. However, drop cloth is my favorite fabric right now - almost like rustic linen. So, of course, I had to try my hand at making them out of this fabric.
They were quite simple to make by gathering a circle and then stuffing it with fiberfill. Then I just added a wooden stem and some moss for a realistic touch. I followed the instructions for AKA Designs Cinderella Pumpkins that can be found here http://akadesign.ca/fall-project-2-fabric-cinderella-pumpkins/
I placed them in a little wooden basket I picked up at the thrift store and painted white. Then added some bright orange corderoy and flannel pumpkins I have had for several years. I placed some faux leaves in the basket and then the pumpkins.
To add even more texture to it I tied a burlap ribbon around the basket and called it a day. For more details and instructions check out the URL below.
