A Modern, Bright & Colorful Playroom Makeover

I joined a few bloggers to refresh a room in our home for the New Year New Room Challenge. I chose our daughter's playroom as it was overflowing with toys! My goal was brighten and simplify the room. I think I achieved that!
Here's a quick before and after shot. The paint alone makes all the difference. We used Sherwin Williams Repose Gray.
My to do list included removing the chair rail, new base board and trimming out the big window.
I wanted to add a gallery wall and create centers based on what she's into currently. She loves to read, craft/color, play dress up, play in her kitchen and with baby dolls.
I chose fun bright colors for her gallery wall. The canvas artwork was completed by our daughter for a special touch. The framed artwork is from Minted.com
Her new desk is full with fun accessories. Thanks to Lamps Plus for the desk!
Here you will see her baby doll corner (left) and dress up corner (right).
And finally, her cozy reading corner. I love the gutter book shelves as they hold a lot of books and the books face outward. I hope you enjoyed our new space! For more pictures and information, please visit my blog. www.shabbygraceblog.com Thanks for stopping by!
