We've been renovating the main floor by painting and re-arranging a few things. Instead of buying new items, I've decided to modify some pieces instead.
Here is the original candle holder. It's nice but was lacking something.
I started off by giving it a light sanding so the paint would adhere.
To add a bit if detail to the vase, I waited for the paint to dry and used a turkey baster to add some detail to the vase. This is done by using only a light coat of white paint.
Here is the result I achieved.
The end result is colourful, and fun and what I love about this is that not only has been transformed, but it has also been recycled.
After adding colour and varnish, I have a new piece to hang.
Enjoyed the project?
