Bathroom Vanity Light Updated With Spray Paint - Super Simple

Spray paint is the perfect way to update pieces, save money and save the earth all at the same time.
When my daughter bought her first condo we updated many existing pieces using spray paint. We updated; bedroom "boob" lights , dining table light fixture, door knobs, and more.
Here is the vanity light bar before; the silver color was dull in areas and rusty around the edges from humidity. A good cleaning with cleaner and a microfiber cloth once it was all taken down and it was ready for its update.
In a well ventilated area with cardboard and paper for protection from over spray, Rustoleum oil rubbed bronze spray paint was applied. Spray multiple light coats turning as they dry to get an even coverage.
When well dried the vanity light bar can be reinstalled and the bulbs put back on and voila!!
The towel bars were done in the same way as the lights but they had a clear coat of spray paint added to give added durability. You can find all the condo updates on my blog as well as more free home decor and furniture tutorials.
Here is a closeup to see how lovely the oil rubbed bronze spray paint looks when dry and installed back in place.

I like this project.
As a renter, I also found a very practical Vanity cover kit for a quick modern update. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B8WDFJMF?th=1&psc=1

Have a question about this project?
How does this withstand the heat these lights put off? I'm worried spray painting and then putting the light on too long will make it catch fire 😂 Did you change the bulbs or anything?
