Turn an old vase into a trendy aged vase!

Do you have a collection of these old glass vases lying around your home that really don't go with your home decor anymore? Well we will be flipping them today into these trendy aged vases you're seeing all over Instagram.

You'll need some air dry clay to make handles for the vase. I suggest starting with this step so that the handles have ample time to dry & are ready to use by the time you are done with the vase.

Roll the air dry clay into a log and mould them into a C shape flattening the edges so you can easily attach it to the vase once dry.

Lather the vase generously with wood putty or wall putty.

You'll need to do two coats. Keep the first coat light.

Once dry attach the clay handle with super glue.

If you like you can add two handles. I just liked the look of a single handle for this vase.

You'll need some dirt for this next & final step. If the idea of dirt doesn't sit well with you, you can substitute with coffee grounds.

Rub the vase with some dirt to give it that aged look. The more you rub the darker it will get so go slow and build as you like.

And finally now you can enjoy this trendy aged vase & display it proudly on a bookshelf!

Love the look but why did you show only half the vase in the last pic? Lol But project is very doable and a great idea for big glass vases with no real panache.
