Its amazing how a simple dollar tree flower basket can be repurposed into a beautiful hanging TEALIGHT Chandelier! If would like to learn how then continue to read and watch below. icon
Spray paint your basket white or silver
First thing you will need to do if you do not want a black Chandelier is to spray paint it your desired color. I spray painted mine white.
Glue down your diamond wrap ribbon all along
Once you have allowed your paint to dry you will need to cover the basket sides as well as the hanging chains with the silver diamond ribbon wrap using your hot glue sticks and glue gun.
Be sure to be careful not to burn yourself as the glue is very hot. Tip: I use the tip of scissors or pencil end to apply pressure to allow the diamond wrap adhere to the basket and chain. 😉
place glass Tealight into the circular opening of bottom of basket You glue the bottom edges with a permanent glue like e6000 or use your hot glue for a more secure hold.
  • Be sure to hang your beaded strands along the len of the basket chains by glueing down in the open space between the chains. (See video)
  • also add alternating strands of beads to the bottom of basket using hot glue. I used a count of a row of 15 bead drop and alternated with a 9 bead drop to achieve this look of a chandelie.
  • i then added embellishments of rhinestones on random beads and a single strand of adhesive bling sticker to Tealight and glass gems that can all be purchased from your craft store.
In the end you should have a lovely tealight basket Chandelier made easily using dollar tree supplies mostly. For a more detailed look please view the video 😁 Happy crafting.

This turned out amazing! I wonder if I can create something beautiful with wood beads instead of the glam look? I love your glam look to pieces. Unfortunately it wouldn't mesh with my decor. Has anyone else tried to re-create something simular with wood beads? I have seen other tutorials with wood beads but not with the flower basket. I have several of those so I might as well try to use them. Thank you for sharing this beautiful project.

Wow... using the materials you used... the piece looks like it would cost a pretty penny in the store! I'm amazed that you turned dollar tree items into an art piece sold at lord and taylor for 150.00.. amazing I'm in love!!! Great tutorial as well.. keep them coming!

I love it. You did a wonder job. It is beautiful

I have a small basket like that and wanted to do a light thing with it. I thought about using it upside down over a solar light out side.
