Easy DIY Colourful Felted Acorn Wreath

Easy
This colourful felted acorn wreath is so quick and easy to make. Firstly go on a nice woodland walk, gather some twigs and acorn husks. Then use them to brighten up your home decorations by making this colourful Autumn wreath.
All you need is a flat wreath ring (available from craft stores or florists).

Coloured felt balls available here .

You will need to gather some twigs and acorn husks

Glue and white spray paint.
Firstly make your wreath base weaving the twigs you have gathered round your wreath ring.
Then spray paint the whole thing white.
To make the felted acorns, wet your felt balls, squeeze into an egg shape and then glue into you acorn husks. For my wreath I made about 45 felted acorns.
Now you can stick your acorns round your wreath with glue.
Your wreath is now ready to hang and you will be able to use it from year to year. More details are available on my blog.

I don't know why this wreath calls to me, but it does! Maybe it's the little colorful acorns, or the white grapevine, I'm just not sure. Living in the woods, I can harvest yards of grapevine to make a wreath, and plenty of acorns.......now, if'n I could just create those colorful "nuts" without buying them.....gonna think about this. I really do think your wreath is beautiful! Thanks for posting!

Good idea! After drying clothes today, I looked at the lint, wondering if it would make decent acorns.....but they would all be a shade of blue/plum, with dog hair sprouting of them..... ;)
