Old Springs Get a New Life

While ripping apart an old chair for reupholstery, I found these six springs supporting the seat. Now I needed to figure out what to do with this found treasure. With Christmas coming, I thought it would be nice to use them in some way.
Six sturdy springs, still beautifully intact and shiny and a pile of old sheet music. Hmmm. What could I make?
In five minutes, I had a lovely little vase for some fresh greenery picked from the garden. Simply roll the sheet music into a cone and slide into the spring. If you're using fresh flowers like roses, just put a small votive into the base of the cone and fill with water.
You can also make some lovely little candleholders by simply placing a votive inside the cone and using a tea light.
A cute upcycling project for the next time you've found some hidden treasure inside a chair.

Where did you get the sheet music papers that look almost weathered and did you spray paint the springs? Very clever recycling .. like it very much 😀🎄
