Pallets to Picture Frames

I wanted a fun new way to hang our family pictures that would go with my home decor. I took some free pallets, cut them down to sizes I needed to make frames for three large pictures! I love the way they turned out!!
Pallet boards lined up drying after a good scrub down.
Cutting down each board to the proper length
One of the frames after applying some Thompson’s water seal just to give it the look I wanted.
I used thin trim pieces leftover from a previous project to attach the boards together and added picture hangers.
Using a nail gun I added some plain white simple household trim to trim out the pictures.
Left shows the before and Right is the after
Here is the finished project!

This is such a cute idea. I was wondering if you may have used or could use a thin plastic of some sorts to cover each photo before framing it?
