Hey everyone! I decided to put two of the best things together: Target and DIY's! Hope you enjoy the video.
So the first project I did was take the pot I bought and painted it by simply using tape as the guidelines. I only did one layer of paint just because I really liked the rustic-y vibe it gave. I then proceeded to put the fake succulent plant in the pot and used some rocks to cover the edges considering I was able to take the plant out of it's original pot.
The second project consisted of using three glass bottles to add their own element of creativity. For the first bottle, I poured glue and chunky glitter in the bottle and gave it a twirl to spread the glitter throughout the inside of the bottle. (Not going to lie, it did take quite awhile to dry but the end result was beautiful)! For the second bottle, I used some string lights, which I also found in the dollar spot, and simply put them in the bottle. I taped the battery box to the back to avoid ugly wires sticking out. For the third bottle (it was kind of a fail but hey, I was a newbie at DIYing), I poured the wax from a candle I purchased from the dollar spot into the bottle. (Definitely recommend using a funnel). I used twine as the wick as it wasn't an ideal container to hold a candle so the wick doesn't matter too much but I still really liked the look of the bottle candle.
For the third, and final, project, I used the container that had the original candle in it and planted seeds which I found in the dollar spot as well. This one was pretty simple. One thing I do recommend is putting pebbles at the bottle of the container so the water has somewhere to go so mold doesn't form. I won't lie, I was able to get a sprout on this one but my patience ran up and it died after that );
