Watch How To: Hang Something On Your Wall!

Question for you: what DIY skill would YOU like to learn? Let me know in the comments!

Whether you're a beginner or struggled with screwing into drywall in the past - you'll be sure to get all of your answers right here! Grab a couple of tools (drill, hammer, screw-driver), some wall plugs and screws, and follow along to learn how to hang that picture frame of yours that's been sitting around collecting dust!
First, decide where you want to hang your picture or shelf and make a small pencil mark on the wall.
Next, grab a wall plug!
Match up the size of the wall plug with the drill bit (you'll be using to drill a hole in the wall) making sure that the drill bit is slightly smaller than the wall plug.
Go ahead and drill a hole into the drywall!
Now you can insert the wall plug into the hole and lightly bang it into place with a hammer until the plug is flush with the wall.
Take your screw and tightly screw it into the wall plug leaving enough room to hang something on it.
You can follow all of the above steps OR grab what's called a self tapping wall plug.
This simplifies the whole process and can be screwed right into the wall without having to drill a hole!
Finish by adding your screw into the plug.
Last but not least, hang your picture on the wall!

Anything wrong with simply using nails. No wall plugs or screws. Seem easier, especial when you need two to keep pictures even on wall.

What is your recommendation for wall hangings such as shelves which require screws or nais on both sides. I have so many problems getting them level.

Our cat knocked down 3 light weight pictures that were on command strips (strips and all) when she was chasing a bug. 3 large canvas pictures that are part of a 5 piece scene. AARRGGHH Going to try the self tapping wall plug. Thank you!
