Elephants on Parade

1 Material
My husband was in the carpet trade and I noticed these two expired samplers or sample scarves as I've been corrected. They were going to the tip - No Way!!!
Below you can see one very boring bedroom wall.
I decided the smaller of the sample scarves would do for the top of my idea. I just needed to sit and sew on some bunting for extra effect.
Once the bunting was stitched on. I made loops at the to to hang onto my picture hooks. This room had an old fashioned picture rail.
This is how the top looked. I then decided to mount the bottom one onto a rail by inserting rings from an old shower curtain. This I hung along the side of the bed. See below.
We needed more elephants. So in between the two samplers I added a decal of elephants at sundown. See below
I had some elephant door hangers with bells at the bottom. I used one at each end of the top scarf. Finally added a handmade elephant gudri.
Sorry about the standard of that pic. Here's another angle
Again not the best pic but you should be feeling the elephant power. So much better than that blank wall.
Hope you guys enjoy my elephant safari
