Wanted to give my condo master bedroom a feature wall. Found packages of tongue and groove pine at Lowe's with different lengths. Longest was about 4 feet.
For an 8 by 12 room, I needed about 7 packages. Can't remember exactly, but square footage is on packages.
All that is needed, some wood adhesive and finishing nails, a hammer, level, and utility knife.
I started at top, directions say bottom. The last row was cut narrower so I wanted it at bottom by baseboard. Which by the way was not removed.
Stagger lengths so seams are not lined up. Start next row with cut end or a new piece. I laid them on floor to make sure joints weren't in a straight pattern.
Because this wood is so light weight, just score and snap your cuts. The right side by door opening is just cut with no trim. I liked it that way, but a piece of corner molding could be added.
Hope this inspires you. It is really addictive.
Started at top. Blue painter's tape holds while adhesive sets. Can't see, but I'm working on next row on floor.
Moving on down, make sure you hear tongue snap in.
Almost finished, vent cover back on and outlet plate. That white hanging down is an ugly track light. Next project!
Ta Da! I put King bed back together by myself. The wood warmed up room. Love it, hope you do too.

Does this project damage the wall ? I rent , so it would have to come down when I move.

Love this idea. I'm in Edmonton but we do have a Lowes. Does this package come in any other colours? Thinking of living room that has brick wall paper from landlord. Have honey coloured hard wood. Thanks
