Last Minute Cinco De Mayo/Fiesta Centerpiece
Had to call the family for a last minute Cinco de Mayo celebration party! Figured out the easiest and cheapest way to make a centerpiece was to use whatever I had available on hand. You can also use this centerpiece for a Mexican-theme party, which are very popular here in the Southwest!
Supplies:
Tequila Bottle (Your Choice)
Jarritos Bottles
Yellow Paint
Orange Paint
Tissue Paper
Pipe Cleaneers
Scissors
Ruler
Step 1: I poured paint inside the Jarritos bottles and swirled them until completely covered. Once the bottles are completely covered, let them dry.
Step 2: I decided to cut the tissue paper in rectangles, 8" long by 4" wide, in various colors, to make a medium-size flower.
Step 3: I gathered five pieces of tissue paper together, they can be various colors or solid, your choice.
Step 4: I gathered five sheets of tissue paper and folded them in half an inch, accordion style. Then I attached the pipe cleaner to the middle of the folded tissue paper to use as a stem.
Step 5: I cut the ends of the folded tissue paper in various shapes, but you can just leave the ends as they are, your choice, just to have a variety of flowers. One cut a curve shape, another was a triangle shape.
Step 6: Then I started separating each sheet.
Step 7: This is what the flower looks like, once all the sheets are completely separated.
And this is the finished project!
