This bookcase was dark and tired looking... we transformed it with gray chalk paint ~ now its photo worthy !

    nice job. I'm thinking to do this to a 5 piece bookcase/TV cabinet. I was going to keep the large oak TV cabinet on the center of the one wall, paint it and move the other 4 pieces (2 cabinets with glass doors light inside and 2 corner bookshelves both one on each side of our fireplace to give the illusion of a built in wall unit. Then paint them the white I chose for my woodwork. We've had this large piece since 1988, and know I would have to give it away, so instead might as well give it new a life and re-purpose it. Your paint project convinced me to do it :)
