Easy Furniture Flip Under $7
I took a small table my sister was going to throw away and gave it a makeover. I needed a small entryway table to put my keys, laundry quarters, shades, and masks. This table was perfect except for the color. I decided to make it over only using crafting supplies I already have.
You can watch this easy-to-follow step-by-step video or keep scrolling for instructions. Let's get started!
The first thing I did was take it apart.
Using white matte acrylic paint, I painted all the pieces except for the two shelves.
I had this paint, but they sell them at Walmart for $.50. (small bottle)
You can use whatever paint you have.
I gave them two coats, letting them dry between each one.
Next, I measured and cut two pieces of marble pattern contact paper to put over the shelves.
I already had this contact paper from doing my kitchen island. I only paid $5 at Walmart, and I still have a lot leftover!
I trimmed the excess off because I had round corners and didn't want to deal with that. I wanted this to be quick and easy.
I used an X-Acto knife for this part.
Using the same white matte acrylic paint I used for the other pieces, I painted the three sides of the shelf that would show. I left the back and bottom of the shelves without paint because you can't see them.
I let everything completely dry. Clean up any paint that got on the contact paper. Super easy to do with water and a cotton swab.
I then sealed anywhere I painted white with Mod Podge Matte. I already had that in my crafting supplies, but it only costs $.50 to $1 for a small bottle. Remember, you can use whatever sealer you have.
Put it back together, and that's it!
This project was so easy and cheap to make I had to share! I love my new entryway table. It looks amazing, and it serves its purpose! I hope this inspired you to repurpose or makeover something of your own.
