I found this bottle at a second hand shop and knew I had to do something with it. Looking around my shop I found an old piece of barn wood that I thought would go perfectly with it.
I laid out my plan and cut the wood to the appropriate length.
The wood was so old and dry I applied a layer of wood conditioner.
I used the ends I cut off to make the holder for the bottle.
Made sure it fit.
Did the same for the shelf underneath.
Then I pulled out my trusty Unicorn SPiT! I used Rustic Reality watered down quite a bit.
I sealed it with Tung Oil Finish.
I added a hanger to the back.
Then remove the cork for a unique bird feeder.
Enjoyed the project?
