2. Apply Vicks to Entry Points

Spiders often enter homes through small gaps around windows and doors. Start by identifying these potential entry points.

Using the Q-tip or a cotton swab, spread a thin layer of Vicks VapoRub along the edges of your windows and door frames.

Focus on areas where you’ve noticed spiders before.

Remember, the goal is to repel spiders, not to harm them. The strong scent of Vicks will act as a barrier, encouraging spiders to find somewhere else to explore.

3. Maintain Regular Reapplication

To ensure continuous effectiveness, reapply Vicks VapoRub weekly.

Menthol and peppermint are fantastic insect repellents. I like adding drops of peppermint oil to a cotton ball and I place those between my interior and exterior windows. Seems to work well as it has deterred wasps from trying to build their nest in my windows.
