I've heard staining is a good technique for updating floors. So how do I stain my wood floor?
The easiest thing to do is cover it with an outdoor rug or runner.
Hope this helps you:

Purchase a resurfacing product if the pitting is bad like Rapid Set NewCrete ( available from The Home Depot) make it quick and easy for homeowners to address spalling on their own, without having to hire a contractor. The resurfacing material simply spreads over the existing, spalled concrete surface to create a fresh, flawless finish. You mix and apply it with a floor squeegee. If it isn't real bad purchase a masonry paint and apply with a roller. You DON'T want a paint that will leave the floor slippery, thus use matte finish masonry paint that you can apply with a long handled roller. If you want a bit of color tape off a line or lines with painters tape and add a second color border.
If you plan on painting the porch I would consider doing a thin concrete pour over the entire thing. It will give you a solid smooth surface to paint or stain etc.

Hello. Concrete can be a challenging surface. We have a newer five-year-old concrete driveway that has had some issues as it ages and we’ve been totally dissatisfied with ALL the concrete repair products that we have tried.
We do have a concrete floor in our laundry room and it is painted and looks wonderful although the surface is not perfect the paint does give it a layer of protection and contribute to the decor aesthetic.
Cleaning and then painting with a porch & deck paint will help. Epoxy paints can fill voids, but it's a lot of work.
Liz Hello,
Use Floor & Tile Paint. Paint around all edges and then use a roller for the rest. Best wishes. There are a choice of colours.
Use a power washer to clean the porch really well. I usually use Purple Power with the washer to get out all the stains. When thoroughly dry, put a concrete New Crete product over it. You may need to find a teenage boy to help you. When that is thoroughly dry you can paint it with masonry paint. All can be purchased at Home Depot of Lowes
IKEA sells these slatted wooden tiles that are perfect for covering up porches. Couldn’t be easier and the results are great!
If your porch is more than 100 square feet and the pitting is bad, you might want to look into hiring someone to do it for you. Concrete patch will work just fine -- unless your porch has a color to it. In that case you'll also have to color the patch or completely resurface it.
What about a large rug rolled out over the whole thing?
Hi Liz, I am not sure how handy you are, but you could clean up the concrete really good and try to put some peel and stick vinyl tiles down over it, they should hold quite well, and will look much cleaner and tidier than the chipped up concrete.

Maybe just add an outdoor rug. Once you paint it you have high maintenance b
I'd just put down an outdoor rug
We painted our patio and it's held up really well. https://www.exquisitelyunremarkable.com/2018/08/how-to-paint-concrete-patio-makeover.html
Painting it is fairly easy and holds up well.
