Holly Phillips from Restore-ology created this awesome storage cabinet. Refinish any old piece and make it unique with Dixie Belle Paint!

Holly picked up this amazing cabinet at a local thrift store and it was in great shape but the color just needed to be refreshed.

First, she took some Mud Puddle and a wet, wet brush and washed it all over the piece. The color Mud Puddle is a very rich, creamy, taupe chalk mineral paint. With a hint of gray, our Mud Puddle color looks like... a Mud Puddle!

After that dried she took some Drop Cloth and a wet brush and washed it all over. The color Drop cloth is reminiscent of a true “Drop Cloth”.

After this color was completely dried as well she did some distressing with a 220 grit sanding block. Although sanding is not necessary with Dixie Belle Paint, a different look is given when using this technique.

Lastly, Holly added some Coffee Bean on the legs and sealed the whole piece with Best Dang Wax in clear. Coffee Bean is one of our newest colors and is a rich espresso color. Dixie Belle new and improved best dang wax really is the Best Dang Wax out there!! Water based, creamy and have a variety full of colors!

Never be scared to improve an old piece you have or buy one that needs some fixing! You can never be wrong when painting. Believe it when we say our paint is Easy Peasy!
