I picked up this table several years ago at a garage sale. It's been neglected and abused. Since I became a hometalker, and received two fabulous monthly gifts, I decided to try them out on this guy and give him a makeover!
He's pretty rough here. The first thing I did was I took it apart and sanded it.
I considered torching and glazing the wood, but after sanding, I knew it needed paint.
I decided to use the Country Chic Bliss paint from my package. BTW, the Country Chic brushes are amazing!
One coat coverage. Gotta love lt.
I used the Smoky Quartz Glaze on the top. It would work best on light paint. So I used the Black Wax instead. The photo shows the glaze on the top and the wax on the leg.
The top waxed.
Here is the finished product! I love the wax. It was easy to work with and a little goes a long way. Not scary at all. Hope you like it!
Suggested materials:
  • Country Chic Bliss paint and Country Chic black wax.   (Hometalk reward.)
