Can you make a slipcover for your chair? You can use drop cloth or other durable fabric.
I agree I would slip cover it. The material under leather is pretty scratchy.
You could reupholster it and then nail upholstery tacks at the edges. You can find these tacks on Amazon inexpensive. I looked them up and found a set of 25 pcs for $3

Recover it with fabric and staple it in place underneath seat and behind back, trim of excess and stick on a braid to cover staples. Enjoy!
Actually there are ways to repair the peeling leather. You can follow this guide to repair chair leather. To ensure you get the most life out of your furniture, regular care is a must. Never use any harsh chemicals on bonded leather.

Re cover like a circle and have a draw string put in the ends so you could pull tight under the seat and behind the back cover back with a cute big bow
