Road Side Bleak to Pottery Barn Chic Dining Room Chair Makeover

Have you ever seen something set out on the roadside with a "free" sign posted on it and driven past it over and over again until you just couldn't stand it anymore? Did you finally just pop them in the car and carry on? That's what happened with these two beauties!
At first I didn't want to pick them up because I didn't know where to put them. Then I didn't want to pick them up because I didn't want them taking up space in my already overloaded garage.
Funny, because I stored them for around 2-3 years before I finally caught the vision. I loved the curvy lines and knew they would look beautiful one day. It sure took me long enough to figure out exactly what I wanted to do with them!
So one day while watching some mini series on Netflix (sorry, can't remember what), I started painting with some homemade chalk paint. The same color I used for my dining room hutch.
After 2-3 coats, I sanded the edges to give them a little worn look. Pottery Barn inspired...ummm, yeah. Thus the name. ;)
The fabric I chose for the seat isn't an easy clean fabric. so I covered them with plastic vinyl. Want to learn more about the process? Come on over to Shelstring and check them out!
