Sweet Antique Side Table
This adorable little side table was given new life by Bre from Average But Inspired in our limited edition color, Forever Green!
Hello, Country Chic Paint fans and friends! I'm Bre from Average But Inspired and I'm thrilled to be here sharing another furniture makeover with you today!
Shortly after that, I decided to paint it. I was on maternity leave with my first baby, was totally sleep deprived, and had no idea how to paint furniture. (Hey, this was pre-Pinterest, people!) So anyway, I opened a can of latex paint and slapped it on. No prep and no sealing. Needless to say, my poor quality paint job did not last long. The paint peeled off all over and it looked really terrible.
It was time to give my Grandma's table the love it deserves, so I sanded it down and repainted it with Country Chic Paint in Forever Green. And it's gorgeous. The color is absolutely fresh, rich and stunning.
The great thing about this paint is that I was able to complete the entire makeover in one day - start to finish. The paint dries so quickly that two coats dried in no time, and sealing was a breeze. With the time saved in refinishing, I added a fun paper lining to the sides and inside of the drawer.
I love the new look Forever Green gave my Grandma's table and I am so excited to show it to her. I think she'll love it, too!
