I decided to give my grandmother's living room furniture a slight makeover. Repainting my grandmother's living room suite made the upholstery come alive.
I painted this suite 2 years ago grey using chalk paint for the first time. But it was now time for some new colour to match the upholstery. Chalk paint is quite expensive in South Africa. I hope it will become a bit cheaper in the near future because it's so easy to work with.
Chalk paint is a definite favourite because you can just paint away on surfaces already painted with paint or varnish! No need for paint removal.
This is how it looked after giving it a new coat of paint. Easy enough and makes a huge difference!
End result
And with the cushions back on- it looks fantastic!
Masterpiece in white! I am very happy with the finished project!
Suggested materials:
  • Chalk paint 1litre   (Mica)
  • I used paint brushes I already had and covered the floor with newspapers.
