How can I upcycle a small homemade crib?

You can do a pet bed or a doll crib.

I’m not sure what your definition of useful is.

People make benches out of them, they make dog beds out of them

If you want to turn it into a shelving unit that is another idea.

Fill it with plants in pots?

I used the spindled side rails in my garden shed. I attached them to the walls at top and bottom and used S hooks to hang all of my garden hand tools, shovels, clippers etc.

If it's handmade you may not want to take it apart. I would use it as storage for quilts/ throws in a family/living room.

If it has the spindles on both sides, you could use it for hanging plants by placing it on the ceiling.

Hi Linda, Use as a Garden Planter or for houseplants or Doll/teddy collection or line it and use for craft materials (Knitting wool etc.) You could cut the legs off and use it for Logs etc.......Best wishes.
