Layering With Milk Paint - A French Dresser

I used General Finishes milk paint in Antique White and Basil to layer color. I also distressed back, used Annie Sloan clear wax and General Finishes Winter White glaze for the finished look. The top was refinished and General Finishes gel stain was used for a gorgeous finish. Love their products!
The layering of antique white and basil, combined with a white glaze really brought out the vintage detail in the piece.
The white and basil create a depth of color and change with the light. The glaze highlights the detailing.
The "before" pic. The dresser was in very poor shape. I sanded back and applied General Finishes gel stain for a gorgeous wood top.
What a difference a good sanding and stain can do to wood!
I love vintage hardware.
