Turn $0.97 Plastic Cauldron Into A Stone Planter

Everything looks so tired and dry after the LONG hot summer, it is so fun to fix it up with beautiful fall flowers and pumpkins. Something I had my eye on at the garden store was this really neat stone cauldron for a potted plant. It was really expensive, so I decided to do without it this year. Then I found these 0.97 cauldrons at CVS and I decided to transform them into a planter!
I did research on spray paint when I was getting my chemistry degree and I have been obsessed since! You know I love my spray paint (check out my MUST read tips for spray paint).
I shopped around and found the perfect color and texture.
Now I have a stone cauldron for the porch! Here is how you can turn a Plastic Cauldron into a Stone Planter!

Great idea! These are $1.00 at dollar store around halloween. Another $6 or $8 in spraypaint, transformed! LOVE it. Put two bags of 'polished stones' from dollar store to add weight and provide drainage. PERFECT!

Hi, this is beautiful. I love stone planters, but not the price. I have a couple planters that will be getting a new look.

I have a question for you. Our front porch is small and the front door is recessed inside the covered porch. For years I have wanted to put a stone table on the porch perpendicular to the door, but the area is too small for any I have found, so I want to build one out of wood. Could I spray paint it with the Rustoleum paint you used and have it survive the weather. We get snow in winter and rain in summer!

    Thank you.
