I had a sturdy coffee table that was no longer by style but so practical I couldn't part with it. One day at my loca children's library it struck me when I passed a Lego table that had holes in the middle where a mesh storage back held all the Lego pieces.
Repurposed old coffee table becomes a Lego table
Let's be honest - the coffee table was a kids' activity table even before the makeover!
The coffee table had heavy storage ottomans underneath that I replaced with an Avengers storage cube (filled with art supplies) we had as well as a Duplo storage box.
The table sits in the corner of my office so my kids can work on projects while I'm working on the computer.

Definitely a great play station for little ones. Another idea, might be mounting a roll of craft paper underneath the table and making a slot to pull it through for the little ones to draw their favorite pictures.-

Have a question about this project?
Looks like you only made 1/2 of it a Lego table. What is the other half for? Did you say drawing? What did you use for the hole in the second half. From the pictures it just looks like a plastic dome covering a hole.
