We have had a fruit fly outbreak, so instead of using the sticky fly traps that we've used in the past to get rid of fruit flies, I gave this fruit fly trap method a try. It worked perfectly! How about grasshoppers?

take clear plastic bottle(tonic water bottle best),don't rinse,cut top within 2inches,invert as funnel,tape together if too much cut..put small amount..cat food..in,piece of banana,or banana peel in bottom..great fly catcher,last for weeks. on patio table..great fly catcher,even catches wasp,lizzards...throw away or run hot water inside,to reuse in a pinch..
