Our home had a simple walkway with cement pavers, which proved to be a hassle when we mowed the lawn. We finished the walkway simply by digging up the grass, adding red lava rocks, flowers, and solar lights to boost up our curb appeal! http://paintspeckledpawprints.blogspot.com/2012/06/walkway-reveal.html

Nice. Any easy pointers on how to prepare the ground to ensure the pavers are secure? I have a very, very small walkway to my driveway, and just want to able to walk to the truck without having to wait to put my heels on.

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
Is this called 'floating' because it sits on top of the grass or is there still digging to be done?

Can you please share more about "floating" ?
Thanks
how about asking guests with heeled shoes to hopscotch the pavers? draw boxes to throw the stop.... if you step off the paver onto the lava rocks, expect those beautiful italian leather covered heels to be damaged beyond repair. Everyone loves to space out the pavers so a walkway is not safe. Just buy more pavers and don't leave spaces! spaces you hit if you accidentally step off the side. Is this home not accessable to the elderly? Oh make grandma take unnatural steps on a changing surface if she wants to come to the door. If you want a color change, use different color pavers. this is just stupid. Expecting guests to navigate a gauntlet to get to your front door is classless. Looks cheap too like someone couldn't afford to do it right and has no actual working creativity.
