Breath New Life Into Antique With Some Shabby Chic

This was a antique that was just taking up room in a friends garage. She asked me if I wanted it..so naturally I grabbed it and brought it home. It was in really sad shape and needed a lot of cleaning.
I now have the country cottage shelf I have always wanted.
After it was washed and sanded I put 4 layers of white paint over the whole table and added a light green trim.
I found this shelf on craigs list for free. It just happened to be the same length as the table and 4 feet high. It was solid wood also so I was happy to go pick it up.
I cut the back board down to use as a separator for the top shelf then repainted the whole thing. I added a 1"x 2" trim to the top for the molding and painted it the same green as the table. I then added the feet using a 4" x 4" block on top of a 1" x 4" piece of wood. I screwed it to the bottom shelf to make it more secure then had my husband help me lift it onto the table.
Finished product. The feet gave it more height that I wanted and I used the silk wallpaper for the backing.
