Our Old House

(IC: homeowner)
In June of 2014 we bought a 1917 American Foursquare in a historic neighbourhood. This is our journey.
This is how our old house looked the day we bought it. It had been neglected for years and suffered injuries when some homeless people started a fire in the kitchen to stay warm.
The yard, 50'x139', was neglected as much as it was. This is a picture of the backyard and the 100 year old elm tree that lives there.
This home has many unique features that made us fall in love with it, including a sunroom off one of the bedrooms...
built-ins and two fireplaces, one in the living room and one in a bedroom upstairs.
And something that is not that common in Oklahoma, a full basement!
To be continued...
