Are you looking for an adorable and super easy craft to make this Christmas? Well, look no further because I am going to show you how to make the cutest little Danish Nisse. All you need are a few logs!
People usually call them "Santa logs," but you'll be in the know once you learn all about the Nisser.
So what the heck is a Nisse, you ask? The Nisse (pronounced nissa) is a mythical creature of Scandinavian Folklore and differs from the American Santa Claus. Nisser are elves or gnomes with long colorful hats.

I used cedar wood, but feel free to use what you have available. I cut an even bottom on one end and an angle at the other.
From there it was just a matter of decorating. Top quarter red, bottom third white. I made black dots for eyes and used a beige pom pom for the nose. But there are so many possibilities! Kids love googly eyes.
I am no artist, so if I can make these, so can you! And while 3 Nisser are definitely cute together, one little Nisse is still adorable.

I made these a few years ago.. very easy. I tied burlap bows with brass jingle bells attached. Very cute.
