I am addicted to giving desk makeovers! For some reason that is all I love to work on, but I promised myself this year to do some other difference pieces of furniture. Anyhow, I find this beauty. She was really in good shape. A costumer asked me for a French desk.
So, when I find this piece. She was so happy and told me to work on it however my mind tells me. I started to lightly sand only the top and than cleaned her up. Primed here twice. Than next was to figure out the paint. I mixed a few paints together and ended up with a beautiful light grey/bluish color along with white. Last seal it and here she is
I didn't get the chance to stage her. Due to it was during the week of Christmas and my costumer got her right away.
2 tone colors with gold accent trim You can see more on my blog. Thanks for stopping by!

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
What were the paint colors you used to create that beautiful shade?
Hi I love what you did here! What gold did you use for the trim? Did you use gilding wax or paint and what color, please if you don't mind sharing. I am re doing my Great Grandmother's dresser and want to do gold trim so I was looking for pics of others with gold trim and came across your stunning work!
Hi,
What gold pens are you referring to? That's exactly what I am trying to do with the trim and I tried to use paint and small brush to do the gold trim, it's impossible. Please tell me the type of gold pen you used. Thank you!
