Pedestal Table Makeover With Restoration Hardware-Inspired Finish

Highstyle Restyle
by Highstyle Restyle
My dad found this solid oak pedestal table sitting sadly waiting for bulk trash pickup last week. As soon as he called me, I wasted no time hurrying over to pick it up.
Wasn't the owner so thoughtful leaving the leaf too? I needed a piece for my next themed makeover as part of the DIY Furniture Girls and this couldn't have been a better candidate!
Since the theme this month was Shades of White, I started with a base coat of General Finishes Antique White.

It's beautiful, but I def agree that the one more coat would take the parquet design on top to gorgeous!

I think the darker top would make a stunning contrast to the beautiful distressed base. Spring is just ahead :)
