DIY Recipe Holder With Hinges

Easy
I came up with this super-easy recipe holder to keep my recipes at eye level while I'm cooking and folds out of the way when not in use
I cut a scrap piece of 1 x 8″ wood to about 18 inches – plenty of room for three bulldog clips. You can customize the size depending on how big the end of your cabinet is.

I painted the board with some leftover brown paint, rubbed some thinned down ivory paint over that, sanded the edges a bit and then gave it a quick coat of polyurethane.

I picked up a three-pack of bulldog clips from Hobby Lobby, spray painted them oil rubbed bronze and screwed them into the wood.
I added a couple hinges and mounted it to the end of my upper cabinets. These are probably overkill, but the next size down was too small.
My little project came out great! The hinges swing the board out to the perfect spot for me read recipes while I’m making a meal and it folds flat when not in use. It would be a great place to put a small notepad for a grocery list.

That's cute, but I would have just glued a clothespin to the inside of the cabinet next to it.

What a creative lady you are. Perfect for us that don't have a huge kitchen with minimal space. Thank you for sharing.
