DIY Turquoise Chalk Paint Coffee Table

I painted my walnut brown coffee table bright turquoise with home made chalk paint. I LOVE this bright color in my living room!
This mid 60s "Mediterranean" coffee table was a $7 auction buy over 30 years ago. It is so sturdy and well built we've kept it all these years. But she was looking tired even after I repainted her top about ten years ago.
I tried out a chalk paint recipe from the web. This one uses baking soda. It sticks really well but is a little bit gritty. That's what I wanted so it was perfect for me. I finished with the stain and sealer from Minwax.
Painted, distressed and stained on top. I am liking this vintage vibe! I have just started with the wipe on wipe off of the stain on the bottom.
I LOVE the way this came out. It is almost like getting a new coffee table! And it saves my brown on brown living room with more color.
DIY chalk paint. Who knew? It was way cheaper and easier than I thought. Now what else can I paint?
