Nautical Bathroom Makeover

In our last house, we had a very builder's grade, plain jane, boring "vanilla" bathroom. It was our guest bathroom/kids bathroom and I wanted to do something fun and outside the box with it, so I decided to play off the nautical theme, grab a great navy and white striped shower curtain, and update the space a bit....
The mirror was a standard mirror with an ugly basic light over head and a very basic countertop/vanity. Everything was just...basic.
We had painted the room a soft, sage green, and had a simple white shower curtain hanging. Was it the worst room ever? No. But it was the most boring space in our house.
So I took matters into my own hands and got to work updating....we painted the vanity white, added new Moen brushed Nickel hardware to the bathroom and shower, worked with MirrorMate to frame in the existing mirror, then got an AMAZING navy blue nautical light fixture from Barn Light Electric for a really cool centerpiece to the space (I later took this light down and took it with us to the new house!).
On the wall, I added some framed nautical prints I made myself, as well as changed out the shower curtain for one that matched my son's bedroom duvet cover.
Then I added a few cute little signs like this one from Evie Ivy.
