DIY Antique Wood Filing Cabinet
It's a record! My craft room and office has remained mess-free for almost a month. My secret? Pretty and fun storage pieces like my new-to-me antique wood filing cabinet.
Months prior to my office/craft room makeover I stumbled upon this set of drawers at a local antique shop. The vendor had already dressed it up a bit with a paint job and new knobs, so it wasn't in bad shape at all. The problem is the color and style didn't jive well with my vintage farmhouse office plans, however, I knew it would serve as a terrific storage piece for some of my craft and office supplies, so I couldn't pass it up.
With just a little white chalk paint and a new set of cabinet label pulls, I was able to transform it into a piece that better suited my taste!
I love this more than Kanye West loves himself! That's a whole lot of love, folks.
I see pieces like this all the time at thrift shops and garage sales and most of the time people think of only using them in bedrooms but they're perfect for offices too. All of my stamps, craft glue, note pads, and scrapbooking embellishments now have a lovely, new place to call home.
