I love the idea of pumpkins out to decorate my house for the autumn season, but I am tired of buying them year after year and then all they do is rot and get smelly. So I made made by own mini sized (about the size of baseball) clay pumpkins that will last for years to come. Now I know I could go out and buy them, but I have not found any that I really like that are the small size, so I made them myself.
Start with an air dry clay, paper bags, tin foil, and paint to make these fun pumpkins to decorate your home.
roll your paper bag up into a ball and wrap in tinfoil to shape the pumpkin how you wish.
Tint your white clay with orange paint, roll out and cover your tinfoil ball and form into a pumpkin. Add in groove marks to make it look realistic.
Use a spray mist like Tattered angels to give your pumpkins more color and depth.
attach a stem and you have a pumpkin ready to decorate your house!!
