I have an affinity for pine cones, and there’s no better season to feature them than the holiday season! I’ve whipped up a Simple, Scented & Dazzling Pine Cone “Garland,” using just scented pine cones, ribbon, a little paint, and some wire. I love the delicate touch it adds to my fireplace, but it can be used in any part of the home. At just a few bucks, this is a cute little piece of holiday décor that adds color, style, and scent!

Felicity Woodruffe on Mar 18, 2014lovely simple affordable and pretty child friendly too and the pine cones fall off the trees in hundreds close to my home.our local supermarket sells a craft glitter paint for one english pound per bottle and the fabric store sells ribbon that equates to 3 metres per english pound add some very cheap florist wire and it will cost less than 3 british pounds to paint and string up and decorate about 300 pine cones

Felicity Woodruffe on Mar 18, 2014i have a question to ask you, i have about 100 very hard boxes about 15 inches long by 8 inches high by 10 inches depth they used to contain silver and glass commemorative decanters .They are lined with royal blue satin and last year I covered them in beautiful vintage lace look wallpaper and filled them with chocolates.I am looking for ideas for ways to pretty up these wonderful hardwearing boxes as i lost my job after an accident and need to be able to earn some money but am injured and cant find work( my employer sacked me when i got hurt and there is no point suing i was on a trial contract for 9 months and they sacked me on the last day before my trial date was due to end)The boxes are similar in size to shoe boxes just very much stronger.Any ideas would be very welcome but need to cost little as possible as i have no income many thanks felicity
