Remodeling a Laundry Room Into a Full Bathroom

If you've followed along with me on Hometalk, you know that we bought a new home that needed some TLC. That and some major overhauls!
One of our remodeling projects was to remove the bathroom that was in the kitchen to make the kitchen bigger and then make this "laundry room" into a full bath so that we still had a bathroom on the main level. Why there was a large laundry room in the main hallway and a bathroom inside the kitchen I have no idea.....but we are about to fix all that!

For this one we:
Here it is now! We added the cabinet (my dad, he's the BEST, he built that entire floor to ceiling cabinet so that I could keep a laundry shoot from the 2nd floor. If you open the bottom door you can pull out a laundry basket!) The top 2 doors have storage that is actually in front of the shoot itself so no space is wasted in it.
Here is the other side. We added the toilet and the corner tiled shower. All the baseboards also got a fresh coat of white paint.
Here is a better picture of the shower standing in the doorway.
This is straight in the door. We ended up still having a nice sized bathroom considering this room was wasted with just a washer, dryer and sink tub.
The entire project cost us about $2000 for all the materials and a few hundred bucks to my cousin who showed us and got us started on the tiling (we had NO clue). I got the mirror, shower pan, toilet, lights, vanity and sink at Menards.
Enjoyed the project?
