Happy Wednesday everyone! Welcome to part III of our master bathroom update. Yesterday, we shared how we installed ourBoard and Batten Wainscoting (featured on Bob Vila Nation), and our masterbathroom storage we build in the first two parts of the master bathroommakeover. Today my post is about the updating a bathroom vanity thatwas builder grade with a splash of color. I never liked the lighter cabinetry when we purchased our Villa, and Iknew I would be updating a bathroom vanity as soon as I could with paint.

Dee on Aug 01, 2014just saw this and you did a fabulous job. I am in the middle of doing mine now. Just hope the paint sticks. I primed, but saw some slick spots so I will prime again. Any suggestions??

Linda Crandall on Aug 02, 2014@Dee hi dee i like to use a deglosser first to break that shinny coat on the cabinets, then follow it up with Styix Primer tinted to the color that matches your paint. Then purchase your paint choice with primer (paint &Primer in one) this will ensure no gloss coming back through. let dry for a day then add a great professional Poly (2 coats) to keep the paint in perfect condition. I painted mine almost a year ago and they are still in perfect condition :-) Hope that helps you out. Good Luck! Linda
