I collect Frames. They are cheap if not free.
I use them for endless things. I make chalk Boards for everyone. I make picture holders. If the frame has character I buy it, salvage it and fix it! They make great gifts. My Father is 70 Plus years Old and he writes his appointments on it, my Mother has one on her door in case someone stops by, I have one on my front door Welcoming everyone. I have one to hold pictures, jewelry, the possibilities are endless!
Mine are free, or next to nothing.
Auctions! This needed to be fixed, re-glued, painted. CeCe paint, waxed, Chicken Wire stapled. $5.00. The paint was a sample and I still had most of it left. The paint was $7.00, I had left over chicken wire out of my garden.
This was out of the Trash! I cleaned it up! Free!
The Picture My Mother Painted Years Ago but I didn't Have a Frame. I found one at a garage sale for a 1.00. CeCe Paint remember she has sample paint!
Auction! I never bid much..child is still in college for two more years! It looked pretty bad. I won this for $15.00, they put the worse stuff up at the end of a auction. The big bidders bid on the most valuable at the beginning. Painted with the same sample Of CeCe paint.
Picture frame $1.00 the glass was broken. I used the back with chalk board paint. It really is just card board and it works. I used back paint, regular white washed it and wiped it off. $1.00 I used left over paint!
I purchased the wrought iron had it for years I bought it at Hobby Lobby on sale. The barn wood was in a field. So it's free! The picture was just hung on it, I found the picture at a garage sale, I needed color to tie it all together in the room.
