It is ant season again! As soon as the weather starts to heat up, and particularly after a warm rainy day, ants decide that indoors is a good place to be. Sure, you can kill ants with various home remedies, but are there are lots of other things that you can do to keep ants out of the house?
Fortunately, the answer is YES and most of them are natural remedies or simple tips!
Cleanliness is one of the biggest things that you can do to keep bugs out of the house. A sink full of dirty dishes is like an all you can eat buffet for ants!
Ants can get into the house from very small entry points. Be sure to calk windows and other areas of entry.
Air tight containers keep food safely away from ants reach (and keep food fresh, as well.)
If you follow all my tips and still have ants, try to find their nest but leaving them something sweet and then following them back to the nest, where you can destroy the whole thing. This takes patience but pays off in the long term.
Follow some of my natural tips and you won't need to call in the exterminators! See more tips on my blog:

Ok guys...knock yourselves out trying different remedies...but...DOLLAR STORE BABY POWDER is my go to...and...it's A DOLLAR !! I sprinkle it around the baseboards and sweep into the cracks in the kitchen...I ALSO sprinkle it around my homes foundation. A Dollar container goes a LONG way.

Please provide remedies for controlling ants
This summer we have had tiny tiny ants in part of my kitchen. They are NOT after sweets - ant spray helps but not enough. Have checked outside - can't find their source. They tend to hide under things - a piece of paper on the counter, my mixer on the counter, anything. When you pick it up there may be ten to fifteen ants and they run and try to hide again. What are they attracted by??? And how to get them GONE?
