So after several arguments and sometimes not finding my clothes anymore, I have decided to take action by creating this DIY Ladder that can be used for CLOTHES or even BLANKETS!!!

Here is a preview of it.
alright, let go....
a video tutorial showing you the main steps
  • 2 long pieces of lumber from 2m long, 7cm large and 2.2 cm thick
  • A long piece of dowel from 3 m long and 2.2 cm in diameter
  • 4 drawer button
  • Bolt and screws
  • non-slip adhesive pads
  • Miter saw
  • Drill press
Here i am starting first by joining the 2 pieces of lumber to give them the same cut with my minor saw.

And here note that I’ve decided to make an angle cut of 88 degree for the top and 115 degree for the bottom in order to prepare to lay on the wall with the adhesive pads.
Nice… take a look at this cut...
In this next step I am taking some marks to have a visual on where I will have to make the holes with my drill press… Here I will be making 4 holes on each pieces so 8 holes in total.

After that I have decided to use some paper sand to clean up the edges a little bit and apply some tapes before starting my fancy paintings…

To finish I am applying here some pads to avoid that the ladder slip away…
I realised after some test that the bottom dowel was too low so I decided to be creative and attached 2 vertical pieces to it in order to hang some shoes...
Creativity is really my thing....icon
Et Voila!!!! excuse my french
a nice DIY ladder for the entire family....

As usual Mr ATC for another idea of housing and if you like it, share to support our weekly projects...

I don't think I'm understanding the use of this, is it supposed to be kept in your bedroom or when you walk in like a coat hanger? Why would you not just put your clothes away? Just not sure if I'm missing the concept for the use of this....🤔

Great idea! You could add vertical pieces on each of the dowel rods. That way you could hang entire outfits for the week. This saves time in the morning!

I could certainly see this for a hockey player after a game, out on the patio. The black girdle and shin guards, and even the helmet and skates need to be seriously aired outside. Great Idea!
