There are many household tasks homeowners can tackle on their own, but electrical repair is not one of them. The risk you expose yourself to when attempting to fix an electrical issue is simply too high to be considered. The right way to approach such a situation is to contact a licensed and insured electrical contractor.

I agree with this post! Many of my friends have tampered with the outlets in their house, for which they later paid with short circuits or sparking outlets. My wife once plugged in several appliances simultaneously, and our outlets burned out in three rooms. It was a nuisance for the end of the workday and long-awaited vacation time. I learned from my friends' bitter experiences rather than deal with them myself, and I called an electrician. If anyone doubts that electrical work is a serious matter, let him read this https://www.electricianclasses.com/how-long-does-it-take-to-become-an-electrician/. It's a post about how much it takes to learn to be an electrician.
